Butter – It’s going to melt in your mouth!
Ingredients
1 x 300ml jar of pure cream
Pinch of salt
3 cups of water
Method
Pour cream into a bowl, add a pinch of salt.
Beat and beat and beat and beat until it starts to resemble butter.
Drain off the liquid (buttermilk) set aside to use for another recipe that requires buttermilk.
Rinse remaining ‘butter’ with 1 cup of cool water, do this 3 times..
Press into a butter dish and enjoy!

I know this recipe is very basic, however I was inspired to make this after meeting Cynthia, a lovely lady I met during my trip to Murgon. She is the President of the Dairy and Heritage Museum. If you ever visit Murgon in the Burnett Region, Queensland, make sure you drop in and say G’day and enjoy some of her homemade butter!
